Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pinpoint mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Pinpoint ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Pinpoint, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Not medical advice

Pinpoint is an informational and record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All estimated values — including plasma-level estimates and trends — are modeled approximations shown for context only. You are solely responsible for your health decisions and should consult a licensed clinician. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in the app.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
• You are responsible for the legality of any substances you track and for how you act on the information in the app.
• Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it in unauthorized ways.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Pinpoint is a paid subscription available monthly (€5 / month) or annually (€40 / year). Every account includes a 3-day free trial that begins on login; you will not be charged until the trial ends, and you may cancel during the trial at no cost. Paid subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app-store account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding data you enter), is owned by Pinpoint and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of the data you enter.

7. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties (such as app stores, cloud infrastructure, and device health platforms). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of estimates or calculations. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation reflects your actual physiological state.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinpoint and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any health outcomes. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Pinpoint harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pinpoint operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
